Packing for International Moving
Normal packing used for local and interstate moves is simply not secure enough. Thicker boxes, extra padding, and large amouns of packing paper must be used to cushion your dishes, electronics, and other fragile items from any impact.  Beware of some companies that may pack your international shipment for a local move!

Furniture Wrapping
Furniture items such as chairs, tables, and armoires are first wrapped with thick brown paper for 100% surface protection, then even thicker corrugated cardboard wrap is secured around all edges for extra cushioning.  Beware of some companies that may wrap all of your furniture in plastic wrap with no brown paper in between.  Plastic wrap can cause condensation and moisture damaging surfaces such as wood, leather, fabric (such as sofas and mattresses, and can even lead to mildew damage.

Crating & Special Packing Needs
High-value oil paintings, oversized and ornamental mirrors, LCD & plasma televisions, statues, and other miscellaneous artwork types may require special packing for adequate support and protection.  Our shipping experts will help you to determine which items in your household should be packed in a wooden crate such as oil paintings and statues and which items may need a custom box with styrofoam such as plasma televisions.  The special packing needs are usually recommended for high value items; however please discuss any specialy packing needs with your moving coordinator.

Container Loading
Overseas shipping can be rough on your belongings.  Shipping vessels bob back and forth and your container goes right along with it!  Your container is then hoisted by cranes at the ports and transferred to shipping trucks for inland transport.  With so much container handling, it is critical that you houselhold items are loaded securely for minimum movement within.  Trust the experts - trust Daly!
